Hidden Talent

About a year ago, Susan and I were at Urban Arts and Crafts in Briarcliff Village. We were taking a class with several other friends on how to make soldered jewelry charms. The entire store was very inspiring to us, especially the gorgeous Amy Butler material that was on display. A neat "Nappy Bag" caught our eye and all it took was Susan to say, "Kristen, we can do this!" YIKES! I was certainly intimidated, but eager to carry such a fun bag. We each picked material that fit our style, bought a pattern and headed home with a new project! Not wanting to make a mistake with the "pricey" material we had purchased, I told Susan that I was going to call in for back-up on this one! I phoned Mary Lee, my mother-in-law, and she was more than willing to make a date to come to Kansas City and assist us with our first BIG sewing project! Once we completed those bags and saw how super cute they were, we were hooked! Sew'n The Bag has been in the making ever since.

We now are specializing in diaper bags, laptop bags, purses of various sizes, burp cloths, bibs, hooded bath towels, wraps, and crayon keepers. We have rented a space at The Bright Side Shop in Lee's Summit and have our items for sale there. We are also doing Trunk Shows in homes. These are styled as an open house without a formal presentation and your friends and family can come and go as they please. If you are interested in hosting a Trunk Show, please contact us! We'd love to get you on our calendar and the best part...we offer hostess rewards!

What's the best way to contact us? Either email us at sewnthebag@yahoo.com
or call us at 816-265-0284 and leave us a message!

Be sure to check back often and see what's new with Sew'n The Bag!
